Kewanna is a town in Union Township, Fulton County, Indiana, United States, located at 41°1′5″N 86°24′46″W (41.018087, -86.412686), and has a total area of 0.53 square miles (1.37 km2), all land.
According to the 2010 census, the population was 613.
Kewanna High School used to serve the town but is no longer in operation, and is used now by Winamac Coil Spring.
History
Kewanna was named Pleasant Grove in 1845 and was later called Pinhook.
A post office was established at Kewanna in 1847.
In 1871 it was renamed for the Potawatomi chief Kee-waw-nee (or Kee-Wau-Nay), whose name meant Prairie Chicken. He lived in the area from around 1800 until 1837 when the Indians were removed.
